Latest Generation of the FUE Method – FUE GOLD
The extraction method is an essential factor in hair transplantation. The real success of the procedure depends on the steps described here. Of course, such a hair transplant’s success is also important to us, so we have further developed the FUE Gold method.
The FUE Gold method is unique. It differs from the traditional FUE method by using a gold tip micromotor. The grafts are prepared for removal using a more efficient micromotor with a gold-plated hollow needle. Due to the finer gold tip, only minimal punctures occur, which primarily accelerate the healing phase and cause hardly any scars. Another advantage is that gold does not heat up, which is why the punctures are very small. After each use, the gold tip is disposed of, ensuring perfect hygiene and reducing the risk of inflammation to a minimum. In general, gold hardly triggers any allergies. It is very compatible with the body, which is why this material is ideally suited for sensitive patients and has become indispensable in the world of medicine.
Then, the grafts are removed. This work requires a great deal of sensitivity and precision. The hair density and the distribution of the existing hair are taken into account. Of course, the experience of our doctors is also crucial here. It is essential that our doctors have years of experience and that this is done by expert doctors and not by simple technicians. Only grafts that have been removed correctly and gently guarantee satisfying growth and successful hair transplantation. Also, the proper storage of the removed grafts until the graft is implanted is crucial. The life-supporting HypoThermosol solution has both a life-supporting and strengthening effect. Once removed and stored in the solution, the grafts can also be counted. The doctors will count the grafts directly in front of you. You are also welcome to count them.
FUE Gold Advantages
- Faster healing phase compared to the standard FUE technique
- Very sharp hollow needles due to disposable use
- Impeccable hygiene
- Minimal scarring on the donor surface
- 96% growth rate of grafts, as they are not damaged
- Open Channels
The channel opening is the most decisive step for a natural appearance. This opening only takes place after the complete removal of the grafts. At this point, the exact number of grafts removed is known. With this knowledge, the new channels are opened, not too many and not too few. This step requires that only a highly concentrated, specially trained doctor opens the canals and does so under complete concentration. The finer the channel opening, the denser the result. Furthermore, the direction in which the channels are opened determines the growth direction of the implanted hair.
There are mainly two methods for opening the channels and Mediva’s clinical partners exclusively work with the latest and most technologically advanced methods to ensure better and more natural results.
Sapphire Technique is the latest technology in channel opening.
Sapphire Technique
Technological progress has created new ways to develop innovative hair transplantation methods. Over the years, the transplantation of one’s own hair has established itself as a minimally invasive surgical procedure. The FUE method, in which individual hair follicles are removed from the donor site and implanted in the bald region, is regarded as the most modern hair transplant technique and has made further progress using sapphire blades to open the canal.
What is the Difference Between a Sapphire Needle and a Classic Titanium Needle?
In addition to the optimized hair follicle removal technique, which works with micro punches from 0.6 to 0.8 millimetres in diameter, the implantation technique is also very important. This is because the density, angle, and direction of the future hair growth are decisive for the new hair image.
These are the factors that produce a natural appearance. These prerequisites are decided by the construction of the channels, which then hold the extracted grafts. Therefore, the quality of the channels’ opening is one of the essential process steps for successful transplantation.
High Hardness and Abrasion Resistance
While the finest steel blades are generally used to open and lay out the channels, the use of sapphire blades – a gemstone that is particularly hard and abrasion-resistant – has established itself as an innovative process for hair transplants in Turkey. Sapphire blades are even finer and sharper than the classic steel versions. The channels that can be laid with these gemstone blades allow extremely narrow cutting widths. This allows more channels to be opened next to each other so that the hair follicles can be transplanted closer to each other. As a result, your hair will be much fuller and denser.
Narrow Cuts Produce Denser Hair
To ultimately ensure a natural appearance, the hair follicles must be transplanted with the exact angle and direction of hair growth taken into account. The natural angle of hair growth is 40-45 degrees. A steeper angle could increase the density, but at the same time lead to an unnatural appearance. Accordingly, the surgeons must find the optimal compromise between density and naturalness of the later hair growth.
- Graft Implantation
The art of graft implantation is not so much the planting itself, since the direction of growth and placement were already determined by the preceding steps, but rather the distribution of the various grafts. Since each graft is different (1-, 2- and 3-hair roots), how much density is desired in which zone must be considered for the best results. Accordingly, the grafts must be placed in the correct position. Our partner clinics only use highly qualified physicians who can accurately assess whether the grafts can be used and are healthy.
There are various implantation methods. We exclusively work with clinics that specialise in Manual-Implantation.
Manual procedure guarantees optimal results. In the manual method, the grafts are implanted by hand into very finely prepared sections. These incisions are made with a special scalpel at a pre-defined angle to make the implantation durable and natural. The insertion of each individual graft is carried out by hand and – in contrast to pin implantation – allows precise natural alignment, a considerable advantage when combing the hairstyle later.
